Day 3 - Huon Trail

Pictures we took outside of the Clydesdale B&B before we left. It is a lovely B&B and has won a lot of awards. Highly recommended!

Huon Trail

After we left Hobart, we decided to follow the Huon Trail, we arrived Geeveston by lunch time & had a great lunch there before we continued our journey to Tahune Forest Airwalk.

After visiting the Tahune Airwalk, we drove back up to Huonville and started our journey towards Kettering. We found a lovely B&B (Orchard Lea Guest House) at Woodbridge near Kettering and we met some local people at a Kettering pub when we were there for dinner. Eton even had a couple of games of pool with them. Eton won both of the games! It was the first time I saw him playing pool & he's given me another surprise!

Tahune Forest Airwalk

We took a walk in the treetops canopy at the Tahune Airwalk deep in the heart of the Tahune Forest Reserve for a magical forest experience up to 37 metres above the forest floor.

The highest point of the 570 metre walk just out overlooking the magnificent confluence of the Huon and Picton Rivers.

We wandered into the adjacent signposted Huon pine walk through riverbank forests for a sensory experience of Huon pine and other native forest species.

Eton gave Vivian a big surprise holidays this Easter. He brought her to Hobart, Tasmania!
